Manoj Kumar Sharma recommended as Director (Projects) of GAIL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Manoj Kumar Sharma for appointment as Director (Projects), GAIL (India) Limited. The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on June 13, 2026.

Sharma is currently serving as Executive Director and Regional Head at Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

Following the recommendation, his name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. The appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.

Notably, the post of Director (Projects), GAIL fell vacant on March 1, 2026 after Deepak Gupta assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company.

Subsequently, PESB issued the vacancy notification on March 3, 2026 and invited applications from eligible candidates for selection to the post.
