The central deputation tenure of Mangesh Ghildiyal (IAS:2012:UK) as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has been extended for six months.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (September 17, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the extension of his deputation tenure beyond October 1, 2025, till March 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mr. Ghildiyal was appointed as Under Secretary in the PMO in September 2020 for a five-year term and assumed charge on October 1, 2020. He was later promoted as Deputy Secretary on January 1, 2021, and has since been serving in the PMO.
