Twenty senior IAS, IES, IRAS, IFoS and IDAS officers have been appointed as Additional Secretaries and Joint Secretaries in various central government departments as part of a major reshuffle on 30 June.
1.Ajoy Kumar (lAS:1984:BH) has been appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Backward Classes in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Presently he is posted as Additional Secretary, National Commission for Minorities.
2.Arun Goyal (IAS:1985:UT) appointed Secretary Coordination, Cabinet Secretariat vice Inder Jit Singh (IAS:1985:KL). Presently Goyal is posted as Special Secretary, Department of Revenue.
3.T. Rajeshwari (ISS:1985), presently in the cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry.
4.Subash Chandra (IAS:1986:KN) appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence vice Barun Mitra (IAS:1987:MN) on Mitra’s appointment as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production. Presently Chandra is posted as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production.
5.Dakshita Das (IRAS:1986) appointed Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Director in the Ministry. Presently she is posted as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
6.P K Pathak (IFoS:1986:KL), Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH by temporarily upgrading the post.
7.Sibani Swain (IES:1986), presently in the cadre, appointed to the post of Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Labour & Employment;
8.C S Mohapatra (IES:1986), presently in the cadre, appointed Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs.
9.Rasika Chaube (IDAS:86), presently in the cadre, appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Steel, by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry.
10.Anuradha Prasad (IDAS:1986), presently in the cadre, appointed to the post of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
11. V P Joy (IAS:1987:KL) has been appointed to the post of Director General, Hydrocarbons, vice Atanu Chakraborty (IAS:1985:GJ), in the rank of Additional Secretary. Presently he is posted as Central Provident Fund Commissioner.
12. Barun Mitra (IAS:1987:MN), appionted as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production vice Subash Chandra, (IAS:1986:KN) on his appointment as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence.
13.Juthika Patankar (IAS:1988:UP) appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry. Presently she is posted as Director General, NIESBUD.
14.Upma Srivastava (IAS:1988:SK) appointed to the post of Additional Secretary, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Presently she is postes as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare.
15.Sanjay Bandopadhyay (IAS:1988:MP), presently in the cadre, appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Shipping.
16. Alka Tiwari (IAS:1988:JH) appointed Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission in the rank of Joint Secretary. Presently she is Joint Secretary, Department of Fertilizers.
17. Rajesh Aggarwal (IAS:1989:MH) appointed Director General (Training) in the Ministry of Skill Development &. Entrepreneurship in the rank of Joint Secretary vice Vijay Kumar Dev (IAS:1987:UT) on his repatriation to his cadre Joint Secretary. Presently Aggarwal is Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. He will also hold additional charge of DG, NIESBUD.
18.Sunil Barthwal (IAS:1989:BH) appointed Central Provident Fund Commissioner (JS rank) vice V P Joy on his appointment as Director General, Hydrocarbons. Presently Barthwal serves as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs.
19. K. Rajaraman (IAS:1989:TN) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs vice Sunil Barthwal. Presently he is posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure.
20. Atul Kumar Tiwari (IAS:1990:KN) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles by temporarily downgrading a vacant post of Additional Secretary in the Ministry. Presently he is posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development.
