In a key appointment, Mahesh Kumar Sharma, currently serving as General Manager (Finance) at NHPC Limited, has been appointed as Director (Finance) of the company.
According to a Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) order issued on October 16, 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Power to appoint Sharma to the post.
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) had recommended his name for the position on July 15, 2025, after interviewing 13 candidates.
