The Maharashtra government on Wednesday appointed senior IAS officer A L Jarhad (IAS:1997:MH) as secretary to the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray at Mantralaya.
Jarhad was transferred from BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as the additional commissioner last year as the secretary of relief and rehabilitation but could not take over and he was since then waiting for the posting.
