Rashmi Shukla (IPS:1988:MH) is expected to be appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Maharashtra, which would make her the first woman to hold this position in the state. The current DGP, Rajnish Seth (IPS:1988:MH), is set to become the Chairman of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). It’s worth noting that sources have indicated that Rajnish Seth has opted for voluntary retirement (VRS) and had previously taken on the role of MPSC Chairman. His retirement was originally scheduled for December. Rashmi Shukla is currently serving as the Director General (DG) at the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
