The Maharashtra government on Friday (28.04.2023) appointed senior IAS officer Manoj Saunik (IAS:1987:MH) as new Chief Secretary of the state. He will take charge from the outgoing Manu Kumar Srivastava (IAS:1986:MH), who retires on April 30. Sunik will retire in December this year. Presently, he is serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, and Public Works Department and will continue to hold charge of the finance department after taking over as the new Chief Secretary.Â
