Lalit Kumar Gupta has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (17.03.2023), the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Textiles to appoint Mr. Gupta to the post from the date of his assumption of charge of the post for a period of five years, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
