Kuldeep Singh Chahal (IPS:2009:PB), who at present is SSP, Mohali, is set to become the next SSP of Union Territory of Chandigarh. In this regard, the Ministry of Home Affairs has forwarded his name to the Deparrment of Personnel and Training. He is the senior most among the three front runners, which include, two other IPS Officers, i.e. Baliram Patil( IPS:2010:PB) and Viveksheel Soni (IPS:2011:PB).Kuldeep Singh Chahal is the front runner for the post. Besides his present posting as SSP Mohali, he has served as SSP, Tarn Taran, Muktasar and Hoshiarpur and before joining the IPS in 2009, was an Assistant Sub Inspector with Chandigarh Police.
