Our sources were right and our prediction about who will be the next Chief Secretary of Kerala came true. On March 25, we said that Dr. V Venu (IAS:1990:KL) would be the next chief secretary of the state and replace V P Joy (IAS:1987:KL). On Tuesday, the Kerala government in a cabinet meeting took the decision to appoint V Venu as the top bureaucrat of the state.
Venu, currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Home, will take over on July 1 when V P Joy retires on 30 June.
