Karnataka: Three awaiting IAS officers get fresh postings

Karnataka govt appoints three IAS officers—Gangu Bai Manakar, Chandrashekar N, and Somashekar SJ—to key Bengaluru positions.

The Karnataka government on Tuesday (July 29, 2025) issued fresh postings for three IAS officers who were awaiting appointments.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

Gangu Bai Ramesh Manakar (IAS:2012:KN) has been appointed as Commissioner for ESIS, Labour Department, Bengaluru.
Chandrashekar N (IAS:2017:KN) has been posted as Managing Director, Karnataka Silk Marketing Board Limited, Bengaluru, with immediate effect and until further orders.
Somashekar SJ (IAS:2017:KN) has been appointed as Commissioner for Rural Development, Bengaluru.
