Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Tuesday (September 22, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for 10 IAS officers across various departments and districts.
Notably, Dr Rakesh Kumar K (IAS:2012) has been appointed Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister. His earlier posting order dated September 7, 2026, appointing him as Commissioner, Social Welfare Department, Bengaluru, has been withdrawn. He has also been given the concurrent charge of Commissioner, Survey Settlement & Land Records, Bengaluru.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;
- Dr. Thrilok Chandra KV (IAS:2007), Secretary, Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics Department, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Agriculture Department, Bengaluru.
- Dr. Rakesh Kumar K (IAS:2012), has been posted as Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister and his previous posting order issued on September 7, 2026 as Commissioner, Social Welfare Department, Bengaluru, has been withdrawn. He is also placed in the concurrent
charge of the post of Commissioner, Survey Settlement & Land Records, Bengaluru. - Dr. Arundhathi Chandrashekar (IAS:2012), Commissioner for Panchayat Raj, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Treasuries, Bengaluru.
- Patil Yalagouda Shivanagouda (IAS:2012), Director, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Commerce and Industries Department, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner for Rural Development, Bengaluru. He is also placed in the concurrent charge of the posts Commissioner for Panchayat Raj, Bengaluru and Executive Director, Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust, Bengaluru.
- Vyshali ML (IAS:2013), Managing Director, HESCOM, Hubballi, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Mysuru Sales International Limited (MSIL), Bengaluru.
- Shashidhar Kurera (IAS:2018), Managing Director, Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited (GESCOM), Gulbarga is placed in the
concurrent charge of the post of Managing Director, The Hutti Gold Mines Company Limited. - Anand Prakash Meena (IAS:2019), Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Kodagu District, Madikeri, has been transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Vijayapura District, Vijayapura.
- Rishi Anand (IAS:2020), Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Vijayapura District, Vijayapura, has been transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Shivamogga District, Shivamogga.
- Hemanth N (IAS:2020), Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Shivamogga District, Shivamogga, is transferred and posted
as Managing Director, HESCOM, Hubballi. - Dinesh Kumar Meena (IAS:2023), Assistant Commissioner, Kollegala Sub-Division, Kollegala is transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Kodagu District, Madikeri.
