Arun Chakravarthy J, ADGP and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Karnataka State Police Housing and Infrastructure Development, has also been promoted to DGP rank for the same post.

Those left out of promotion include 1994-batch officers B Dayananda and Alok Kumar. Another senior officer, Amrit Paul, a 1995 batch IPS officer, was also excluded due to his alleged involvement in the PSI recruitment scam.
