Karnataka: Four IPS officers shifted, B Dayananda is new Bengaluru Police Commissioner

In a big reshuffle in the police department, the Karnataka government on Tuesday issued transfer and posting orders for four senior IPS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. CH Pratap Reddy (IPS:1991:KN), Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru, is transferred and posted as DGP of Internal Security Division, Bengaluru.
2. B Dayananda (IPS:994:KN), ADGP, Intelligence, has been transferred and posted as new Police Commissioner of Bengaluru.
3. Dr. M A Saleem (IPS:1993:KN), ADGP/ Special Commissioner (Traffic), Bengaluru is promoted and posted as DGP, Criminal Investigation Department (CID-Special Units and Economic Offences), Bengaluru.
4. KV Sharath Chandra (IPS:1997:KN), ADGP of CID, Bengaluru is transferred and posted as ADGP, Intelligence.
