Karnataka: Five IPS officers shifted; Ravi S is new ADGP, Intelligence

The Karnataka government on Friday (06.06.2025) carried out a significant reshuffle in the police administration by issuing transfer and posting orders for five senior IPS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. R Hithendra (IPS:1996:KN), ADGP, Law & Order, Bengaluru, has been placed in concurrent charge of ADGP, Traffic and Road Safety.
2. S Murugan (IPS:1997:KN), ADGP, Communication, Logistics and Modernization, Bengaluru, has been placed in concurrent charge of ADGP, Recruitment.
3. KV Sharath Chandra (IPS:1997:KN), ADGP, Recruitment, has been transferred and posted as ADGP & Principal Secretary to Government (PCAS), Bengaluru. He is also placed in concurrent charge of ADGP and CMD, Karnataka State Police Housing & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, Bengaluru.
4. Hemant M Nimbalkar (IPS:1998:KN), ADGP, Intelligence, has been transferred and posted as ADGP & Commissioner, Department of Information and Public Relations, Bengaluru.
5. Ravi S (IPS:1998:KN), ADGP & Principal Secretary to Government (PCAS), Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Intelligence.
