Two senior IPS officers have been transferred from their present postings, due to their close relatives filing nominations for the ongoing Assembly elections.
S Girish (IPS:2015:KN), DCP, Whitefield, has been replaced by Dharmender Kumar Meena (IPS:2012:KN), and C B Ryshyanth (IPS:2013:KN), SP, Davangere, has been replaced by Dr. Arun K (IPS:2014:KN). While Mr. Girish is related to Congress candidate K N Rajanna, Mr. Ryshyanth is related to BJP candidate Munirathna.
Manoj Kumar Meena, CEO, of Karnataka, said the two officers have been transferred at the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
