A surprise name in the list of IPS officers transferred by the state government on Wednesday was that of Bengaluru DCP (South) Annamalai K. He was set to be replaced by Isha Pant, who was serving as SP and Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Bengaluru. However, the transfer was immediately revoked and it was confirmed that Annamalai would stay on as Bengaluru (South) DCP.
Annamalai’s supposed replacement Isha Pant was posted to the role of DCP, Bengaluru (East) and then asked to report to Chief Office (DG&IG of Police office) on Nrupathunga Road, until further orders.
