Kamlesh Chaturvedi (IFoS:1988:MP), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre, Madhya Pradesh, on personal grounds.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on June 6, 2025, the competent authority approved the proposal of MoRTH to relieve Chaturvedi before his scheduled retirement.

Chaturvedi had been serving in the ministry since May 2017. Initially appointed for a five-year term, he was granted an extension in June 2022 for two more years. Ahead of the end of that extended tenure on May 21, 2024, he was granted a three-month extension until August 21, 2024. Later, on August 13, 2024, he was given another extension until his superannuation on July 31, 2025.

However, with this latest order, Chaturvedi’s central deputation ends nearly two months earlier than expected.
