The Jammu and Kashmir Police has given additional charge of the post of IGP Traffic to IPS officer Vivek Gupta (IPS:2007:AGMUT). Currently serving as IG Railways, Jammu and Kashmir, Gupta will hold this position until M Suleman Choudhary (IPS:2007:AGMUT), the current IG Traffic, returns from his duties as Election Observer.
The order by the General Administration Department (GAD) read, “Shri Vivek Gupta, IG Railways, JK in addition to his own duties shall also attend to the duties of IG Traffic, JK till Shri M. Suleman Choudhary, IG Traffic, JK rejoins after performing his duties as Election Observer.”
