In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday (15.08.2024) implemented major changes in the bureaucratic structure in anticipation of the upcoming elections in September-October. The state government issued two separate transfer orders. The first order reassigned 89 officers, including 8 IAS officers, to new responsibilities, while the second order involved the transfer of six officers.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follow;
- Vikas Kundal (IAS:2013:AGMUT), Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited with additional charge of the post of Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation Limited, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Poonch.
- Shakeel UI Rehman Rather (IAS:2013:AGMUT), Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, has been transferred and posted as Director, Floriculture, Parks and Gardens, Kashmir.
- Majid Khalil Ahmad Drabu (IAS:2013:AGMUT), Controller, Legal Metrology, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Mission Director, ICPS, J&K.
- Sheikh Arshad Ayub (IAS:2013:AGMUT), Inspector General of Registration, has been transferred and posted as Director, Libraries, J&K.
- Rahul Yadav (IAS:2014:AGMUT), Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation with additional charge of CEO, SPV Jammu City Project, has been transferred and posted as Mission Director, HADP. He will also be Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Department.
- Ch. Mohd Yasin (IAS:2015:AGMUT), Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited with additional charge of Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation Limited.
- Devansh Yadav (IAS:2016:AGMUT), Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation. He will also hold charge of CEO, SPV Jammu City.
- Abhishek Sharma (IAS:2018:CG), Deputy Commissioner, Samba, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri.
- Ms. Ankita Kar (IRAS:2011), who has been awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer, Jammu & Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA).
- Bashir Ahmad (IRS-IT:2013), Vice Chairman, Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, JKPCC.
