The Jharkhand government on Friday (10.03.2023) assigned Vandana Dadel (IAS:1996:JH), Principal Secretary, Personnel, Administrative Department and Rajbhasha Department, the additional charge of Principal Secretary of the Home Department (without Disaster Management). Her appointment came days after Principal Secretary Home Rajiv Arun Ekka (IAS:1994:JH) was transferred to the Panchayati Raj Department after BJP made public a video clip of him showing him dealing in government files at a private office.
Dedel already has the additional charge as the Industries Principal Secretary for close to a year after the arrest of IAS officer Pooja Singha; (IAS:2000:JH).
Besides this, two more IAS officers have been assigned additional responsibilities.
Ajay Kumar Singh (IAS:1995:JH), Principal Secretary, Rural Development Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Finance, has been given additional charges of Principal Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat and Vigilance Department.
Vinay Kumar Choubey (IAS:1999:JH), Secretary to Chief Minister with additional charges of Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department; Secretary, Excise and Prohibition Department; MD, JUIDCO and MD, GRDA, has been given additional charge of Secretary Information and Public Relations Department.
