Janmejaya Khanduri (IPS:2007:UK), currently serving as Deputy Director in the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), has been promoted and appointed as Inspector General (IG) in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday (June 13, 2026), his appointment will take effect from the date of assuming charge of the post.
The order further stated that he will continue in the position for his remaining tenure up to February 2, 2030 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
