Rasaal Dwivedi (C&CE:2011) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (20.06.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to appoint Rasaal Dwivedi to the post of Private Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post.
His tenure will last until March 15, 2026, for the remaining five years of his central deputation, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
This is not the first time Rasaal Dwivedi has been appointed as Private Secretary to Hardeep Singh Puri. During the second term of the Modi government, Dwivedi was appointed to the same position in March 2021 for a five-year term. Now, in the third term of Modi government, Hardeep Singh Puri retains the Petroleum and Natural Gas portfolio, and Dwivedi has been reappointed as his Private Secretary.
