Amar Singh (IRS-IT:2010) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Bhupendra Yadav, the Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (25.06.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to appoint Amar Singh to the post of Private Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post.
His tenure will last until September 7, 2026, for the remaining five years of his central deputation, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Amar Singh has been serving as the Private Secretary to Bhupendra Yadav since September 7, 2021. Initially, his appointment was with the Ministry of Labour and Employment. During the second term of the Modi government, Bhupendra Yadav has been holding two portfolios: the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
