Following the recommendation of the Screening Committee’s meeting on July 27, 2022, and subsequent endorsement by the competent authority, Virender Singh (IPS:1991:AGMUT) has been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) at Level-16 in the pay matrix. This promotion is valid from the date of his assumption of charge. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued official orders on Tuesday (08.08.2023) to formalize Mr. Singh’s advancement to the DGP grade. Presently, he is posted in the cadre.
