In a recent development, Satendra Kumar (IPS:2010:UP), currently serving as Suprintendent of Police (SP) at Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), has been promoted and posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) at the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an order on Wednesday (10.01.2024), confirming the approval of the competent authority for Mr. Kumar’s promotion to the post. His appointment comes with a combined tenure of five years (SP+DIG) from the date of joining the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
