IPS Rohit Malpani appointed Director in NATGRID

IPS officer Rohit Malpani (IPS:2012:HP), who was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Director in the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) for a period of five years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (March 23, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment under the central staffing scheme. His tenure will be for five years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

He is presently serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Cyber Crime in Himachal Pradesh.
