IPS officer Raman Kumar Meena (IPS:2011:HP), currently serving as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has been promoted and appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the agency.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on March 28, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Mr. Meena’s promotion to the DIG rank for the remaining period of his central deputation tenure i.e. February 09, 2030 (5 years in total) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
