The tenure of Tapan Kumar Deka (IPS:1988:HP) as Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB) has been extended for period of one year. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training Department (DoPT) on Monday (24.06.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved to extend the tenure of Tapan Kumar Deka for one year beyond 30.06.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
