Shinde Deepak Arjun (IAS:2012:AGMUT) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (20.06.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to appoint Shinde Deepak Arjun to the post of Private Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post.
His tenure will last until August 31, 2026, for the remaining four years of his central deputation, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Previously, Shinde has been serving as the Private Secretary to Nitin Gadkari since March 3, 2023, following the curtailment of his tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
