The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday (03.08.2023) approved the appointment of Shinde Deepak Arjun (IAS:2012:AGMUT) as the Private Secretary to Nitin Gadkari, the Minister for Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). This appointment comes following the curtailment of his tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
As per the order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Shinde Deepak Arjun has been appointed to the post until August 31, 2026, which represents the balance period of his four-year central deputation tenure. The appointment is on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or until he ceases to function as the Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs first.
