In her address to the officers, the President underscored the distinctive nature of their role, marked by authority, significance, and responsibility that extends beyond a mere profession – it is a calling. She stressed that their calling revolves around propelling India and its populace forward through the principles of effective governance. The President expressed that their shared destiny is to serve the nation and its people, ultimately culminating in the transformation of India into an inclusive and advanced nation.

Emphasizing the importance of empathy in a civil servant, the President remarked that a true civil servant is one whose heart resonates with compassion for the disadvantaged and the underprivileged. She urged the officers to work diligently to comprehend the vital connections between the progression from ‘file to field’ and the flow from ‘field to file’.
