The Central government on Monday (August 12, 2025) appointed Dr Pooja Joshi (IAS:2011:AGMUT) as General Manager (Level-13) in the Tribal Co-Operative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), Bengaluru-South (Karnataka Region), under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the competent authority approved her appointment at the Director level on deputation basis until September 30, 2026 — the date of her superannuation — or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The appointment is to a Non-Central Staffing Scheme (Non-CSS) post, and Dr Joshi will be relieved from her current duties immediately to assume the new role.
As GM of TRIFED Bengaluru-South, she will oversee initiatives aimed at empowering tribal communities through marketing support and value addition to their products.
