IAS officer Mayur Ratilal Goveka (IAS:2014:TR) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister for Communications & Development of North Eastern Region. His appointment specifically pertains to Ministry of Communications. Previously serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, his tenure in the ministry was curtailed following his new appointment.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (28.06.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the proposal to appoint Ashutosh Niranjan to the post of Private Secretary, effective from the date he assumes charge.
His tenure will last until October 11, 2027, for the balance period of his four-year tenure, or on a co-terminus basis, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
