IAS Mahendra Kumar appointed Director in Ministry of Corporate Affairs

IAS officer Mahendra Kumar (IAS:2011:BH) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for a period of five years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (March 23, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment under the central staffing scheme. His tenure will be for five years from the date of taking charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Currently, he is serving as Secretary, Department of Sports, and also holds the additional charge of Managing Director, South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL), Bihar.
