IAS officer Ankita Chakravarty (IAS:2013:AGMUT) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Women & Child Development Minister Annupama Devi. As a result of this appointment, her current tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs has been curtailed.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (02.07.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the proposal to appoint Ankita Chakravarty to the post of Private Secretary, effective from the date she assumes charge.
Her tenure will last until November 30, 2027, for the balance period of her four-year deputation tenure, or on a co-terminus basis, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
