Himanshu Roy (IRS-IT:2011) has been selected as the new Deputy Secretary for the Department of Pharmaceuticals. This decision follows a recommendation from the Civil Services Board (CSB) through the central staffing scheme.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Saturday, August 12, 2023, confirming that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its approval. Himanshu Roy’s tenure in this role is set for a period until October 15, 2025 (totaling six years at the Deputy Secretary level), or until further instructions, whichever occurs first.
