Himachal Pradesh transfers 14 IPS officers, three districts get new SPs

Himachal Pradesh IPS transfers see 14 officers shifted with immediate effect, including SPs of three districts.

The Himachal Pradesh government on Thursday (February 5, 2026) ordered the transfer and posting of 14 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers with immediate effect, including the Superintendents of Police (SPs) of three districts.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

Abhishek Dular (IPS:2006:HP), who was awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Inspector General of Police, Communications and Technical Services, Shimla.

Dr DK Chaudhary (IPS:2008:HP), who was serving as Principal of the Police Training College, Daroh, Kangra, has been posted as Inspector General of Police, Armed Police and Training, Daroh.

Soumya Sambasivan (IPS:2010:HP), Deputy Inspector General of Police (Northern Range), Dharamshala, will also hold the additional charge of Principal, Police Training College, Daroh.

Rohit Malpani (IPS:2012:HP), who was serving as Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crime (CID), Shimla, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Cyber Crime, Shimla.

Dr Ramesh Chander Chaudhary (IPS:2012:HP), who was serving as Superintendent of Police (Leave Reserve), Police Headquarters, Shimla, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Prisons and Correctional Services, Shimla.

Devakar Sharma (IPS:2012:HP), who was serving as Commandant, 4th Indian Reserve Battalion, Jangalberi, and holding additional charge of Superintendent of Police, Special Task Force, Mandi Zone, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Intelligence and Security, Dharamshala.

Gaurav Singh (IPS:2013:HP), who was serving as Superintendent of Police, Solan district, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Shimla district.

Sakshi Verma (IPS:2014:HP), who was serving as Superintendent of Police, Mandi district, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Mandi.

Arvind Chaudhary (IPS:2017:HP), who was serving as Superintendent of Police (Leave Reserve), Police Headquarters, Shimla, has been transferred as Commandant of the 4th Indian Reserve Battalion, Jangalberi. He will also hold additional charge of Superintendent of Police, Special Task Force, Mandi Zone.

Sandeep Kumar Bhardwaj (IPS:2017:HP), who was serving as Superintendent of Police, State Human Rights Commission, Shimla, has been posted as Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Sachin Hiremarth (IPS:2020:HP), who was serving as Superintendent of Police, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Mandi, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Una district.

Tirumalraj SD Varma (IPS:2020:HP), who was serving as Aide-de-Camp to the Governor, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Solan district.

Additionally, the services of Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, Superintendent of Police, Shimla, have been placed at the disposal of the Department of Personnel for posting as Deputy Inspector General of Police. Amit Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Una, has been directed to report to Police Headquarters, Shimla, immediately.
