The deputation tenure of Hemant Kumar Lohia (IPS:1992:AGMUT) as Inspector General (IG) in Border Security Force (BSF) has been extended up to November 29, 2023. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the tenure extension of Lohia for a combined tenure of seven year up to 29.11.2023, in relaxation of the IPS Tenure policy.
