Senior IAS officer Vivek Joshi (IAS:1989:HY) was on Thursday (31.10.2024) appointed as new Chie Secretary of Haryana following the retirement of the incumbent Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad (IAS:1988:HY).
Joshi will oversee General Administration, Human Resources, Personnel and Training, Parliamentary Affairs, and the Vigilance Department, as well as serves as Secretary in charge of Plan Coordination.
The centre repatriated Joshi from the central deputation to parent cadre Haryana on the request of state government on October 26. Prior to his repatriation, he was serving as Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training.
According to an order issued by the Haryana government on Thursday, Anurag Rastogi (IAS:1990:HY), Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Planning and Home, will look after the assignment of state Chief Secretary until Joshi completes the repatriation process abd joins the cadre.
