Haryana cadre IAS officer Nitin Kumar Yadav (IAS:2000:HY) is set to take over as new Chandigarh Home Secretary. This comes after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs cleared his name to serve on deputation in the Chandigarh administration as home secretary.
The UT administration had recommended the name of Nitin Kumar Yadav from a penal of three officers sent by Haryana government to succeed Arun Kumar Gupta (IAS:1992:HY) as the home secretary. The post is reserved for Haryana cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.
Earlier, the Haryana government had sent a panel of three IAS officers including Yadav, 2000 batch officer Pankaj Agarwal and 2003 batch IAS officer Vinay Singh.
