Haryana govt transfers 15 IAS officers

The Haryana government on Wednesday (April 9, 2026) carried out a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to 15 IAS officers across key departments.

Senior IAS officer Vineet Garg has been moved as Additional Chief Secretary, Printing and Stationery Department, while Anurag Agarwal and Vijayendra Kumar have been given additional charges in important departments.

Several other officers, including Rajeev Ranjan, Pankaj Agarwal, CG Rajini Kanthan and Saket Kumar, have also been reassigned or entrusted with additional responsibilities as part of the administrative overhaul.

The names of the officers and their posting are as follows;

1. Vineet Garg (IAS:1991:HY), Chairman, Haryana State Pollution Control Board, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Printing & Stationery Department.
2. Anurag Agarwal (IAS:1994:HY), Additional Chief Secretary, Town & Country Planning and Urban Estates Department, has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation & Water Resources Department and Advisor, Haryana Saraswati Heritage Board.
3. Vijayendra Kumar (IAS:1995:HY), Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Department; Officer on Special Duty for the proposed Haryana Income Enhancement Board; Additional Chief Secretary (Appointments), Personnel Department; and Additional Chief Secretary, Sainik & Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Development & Panchayats Department.
4. Rajeev Ranjan (IAS:1998:HY), Principal Secretary, Labour Department and Principal Secretary, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Cooperation Department.
5. Pankaj Agarwal (IAS:2000:HY), Principal Secretary, Irrigation & Water Resources Department; Advisor, Haryana Saraswati Heritage Board; and Principal Secretary, Mines & Geology Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Architecture Department.
6. CG Rajini Kanthan (IAS:2004:HY), Commissioner & Secretary, Finance Department and Secretary, Central Examinations, has been given additional charge of Commissioner & Secretary, Mines & Geology Department.
7. Saket Kumar (IAS:2005:HY), Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister; Commissioner & Secretary, Development & Panchayats Department; Commissioner & Secretary, Cooperation Department; and Managing Director, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner & Secretary, Archives Department.
8. J Ganesan (IAS:2006:HY), Commissioner & Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department; Commissioner & Secretary, Citizen Resources Information Department; Director General, Housing for All; Secretary, Housing for All Department; Chief Executive Officer, Special Purpose Vehicle for Haryana AI Development Project (HAIDP) and Haryana Clean Air Project for Sustainable Development (HCAPSD); and Managing Director, HARTRON, has been given additional charge of Chairman, Haryana State Pollution Control Board and Commissioner & Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department.
9. Atul Kumar (IAS:2007:HY), Transport Commissioner and Commissioner & Secretary, Transport Department, has been given additional charge of Commissioner & Secretary, Finance Department.
10. Dushmanta Kumar Behera (IAS:2007:HY), Secretary to Governor, Haryana and Labour Commissioner; Secretary, Labour Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Department.
11. Mani Ram Sharma (IAS:2009:HY), Registrar, Cooperative Societies, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Health Department.
12. Dr Aditya Dahiya (IAS:2011:HY), Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited and Director, Department of Future, Haryana, has been given additional charge of Managing Director, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited.
13. Ajay Kumar (IAS:2013:HY), Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram and Chief Administrator, Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board, Gurugram, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Principal Secretary-II to Chief Minister.
14. Uttam Singh (IAS:2015:HY), Deputy Commissioner, Karnal and Chief Executive Officer, Karnal Smart City Ltd., has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram and Chief Administrator, Shri Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board.
15. Anand Kumar Sharma (IAS:2019:HY), District Municipal Commissioner, Rohtak; Commissioner, Rohtak Municipal Corporation; Administrator, HSVP, Rohtak; and Additional Director, Urban Estate, Rohtak, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Karnal and Chief Executive Officer, Karnal Smart City Ltd.
