Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya administered the oath of office and allegiance to the newly appointed Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) and four State Information Commissioners during a formal ceremony at Raj Bhavan on Monday. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and several dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Former Chief Secretary and retired IAS officer TVSN Prasad (IAS:1988:HY) took oath as the Chief Information Commissioner. Additionally, the Governor administered the oath to four newly appointed State Information Commissioners — Amarjit Singh (Retired HCS officer), Karmaveer Saini, Neeta Kheda, and Sanjay Madan.

Governor Dattatraya emphasized the crucial role of the Information Commission in promoting transparency and accountability in a democratic system. He expressed hope that the newly appointed commissioners would carry out their responsibilities with integrity and commitment, further strengthening the Right to Information framework in the state.
