Haryana: 20 IPS officers shifted, Vikas Arora is new CP of Gurugram

The Haryana government on Monday (21.08.2023) implemented significant changes in the police administration of the state. A total of 20 IPS officers were promptly transferred, marking a substantial reshuffling in the department. This rearrangement occurred shortly after the recent appointment of Shatrujeet Kapur (IPS: 1990: HY) as the new Director General of Police.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

1. Om Prakash Singh (IPS:1992:HY), ADGP, State Crime Branch (H), with additional charge of Director, SCRB, Punchkula, has been transferred and posted as Additional DGP, Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) with additional charge of Director, SCRB, Panchkula and ADGP, Cyber crime.
2. Ajay Singhal (IPS:1992:HY), ADGP, ACB, has been transferred and posted as ADGP State Crime Branch (H), Panchkula.
3. A S Chawla (IPS:1993:HY), ADGP, Administration with additional charge of ADGP, Telecom-IT, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Haryana State Enforcement Bureau with additional charge of ADGP, Telecom-IT.
4. Kala Ramachandran (IPS:1994:HY), Police Commissioner of Gurugram, has been transferred abnd posted as ADGP, Administration.
5. Mamta Singh (IPS:1996:HY), ADGP, Law & Order (H) with additional charge of ADGP, Haryana State Enforcement Bureau and ADGP, Regional Training Centre (RTC), Bhondsi, Gurugram will now only hold the charge of ADGP, Law & Order and ADGP, RTC, Bhondsi.
6. M Ravi Kiran (IPS:1996:HY), ADGP, South Range, Rewari, will now be the ADGP, Prisons.
7. Krishan Kumar Rao (IPS:1996:HY), ADGP/CPT&R, Bhondsi, Gurugram, has been transferred and posted ADGP, Rohtak range.
8. Amitabh Singh Dhillon (IPS:1997:HY), IGP, HSNCB, Madhuban with additional charge of IGP, Modernization & IGP, Cyber, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Anti-Corruption Bureau with additional charge of IGP Modernisation and Welfare.
9. Sanjay Kumar (IPS:1997:PB), IGP, Administration (H) with additional charge of IGP, Law & Order (H) & Police Commissioner, Panchkula, will now only hold the charge of IGP, Administration (H) with additional charge of IGP, Law & Order (H).
10. Vikas Arora (IPS:1998:HY), Police Commissioner of Faridabad, has been transferred and posted as Police Commissioner of Gurugram.
11. Rajender Kumar (IPS:1998:HY), IGP, CM Flying Squad, Panchukla with additional charge of IGP, Enforcement Wing (H), will be the new IGP, South Range.
12. Sibash Kabiraj (IPS:1999:HY), IGP, Ambala Range, Ambala, has been given additional charge of Police Commissioner of Panchkula (with Headquarters at Ambala.
13. Rakesh Arya (IPS:2003:HY), IGP Rohtak Range with additional charge of IGP, Personnel (H), Panchkula, has been transferred and posted as Police Commissioner of Faridabad and IGP, SCRB (H), Panchkula.
14. Simardeep Singh (IPS:2007:HY), DIG, STF Haryana, Bhondsi will also hold additional charge of DIG, Prisons.
15. Maneesh Chaudhary (IPS:2005:HY), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as IGP, CID (H).
16. Arun Singh (IPS:2006:HY), DIG, HPA, Madhuban, will also hold additional charge of DIG, HAP, Madhuban.
17. Shiv Charan (IPS:2007:HY), DIG, HAP, Madhuban with additional charge of DIG, HPA, Madhuban, has been transferred and posted as DIG, PTC, Sunaria.
18. Virender Kumar (IPS:2011:HY), DCP, Traffic, Gurugram will also hold additional charge of DCP, East, Gurugram and in-charge of the Mirror Emergency Response System (MERC).
19. Nitish Agarwal (IPS:2017:HY), DCP, East, Gurugram with additional charge of I/C, Mirror Emergency Response System (MERC), has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Mahendergarh.
20. Vikrant Bhushan (IPS:2017:HY), Superintendent of Police, Mahendergarh, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police of Sirsa.
