Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla has been appointed as Chief Coordinator G20 and will take over after his retirement on April 30. India will assume G20 presidency later this year after the summit in Indonesia and prepares to host the 2023 event amid an emerging geo-political order.
His tenure will begin from May 1 and will hold post till December 2023. Chief Coordinator is a Secretary-level post.
