In response to the recent fire incident at a gaming zone in Rajkot, the Gujarat government on Monday issued transfer and posting orders for three IAS officers. As part of this reshuffle, Rajkot Municipal Commissioner Anand Babulal Patel has been shifted to the General Administration Department, and DP Desai has been appointed as his replacement.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;
- Anand Babulal Patel (IAS:2010:GJ), Municipal Commissioner of Rajkot, has been transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of General Administrative Department (GAD).
- DP Desai (IAS-SCS:2008:GJ), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority(AUDA) with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority(GUDA), has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner of Rajkot.
- Bhavya Verma (IAS:2016:GJ), Mission Director of Swachh Bharat Mission(Urban), Gandhinagar, has been given additional charge of posts of CEO of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority(AUDA) and CEO of Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority(GUDA).
