Shamsher Singh (IPS:1991:GJ), currently serving as the Director General of Police, Law and Order, Gujarat, has been given charge of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the state.
Previously, Rajesh Brahmbhatt (IPS:1995:GJ), who holds the position of Additional Director General of Police in the State Intelligence Bureau, held this responsibility. Following him, Anupam Singh Gehlot (IPS:1997:GJ), who serves as the Additional Director General of Police and Commissioner of Police in Vadodara, assumed the role.
In a recent official announcement made on Tuesday, DGP Shamsher Singh was chosen to head the ACB. It’s worth noting that the ACB has been without a permanent director since the retirement of DGP Keshav Kumar (IPS:1986:GJ), and this situation persists to date.
