Gandhinagar: While the entire bureaucracy in Gujarat is busy fire fighting the COVID-19 outbreak, one retired IAS created a flutter by posting his nude pics on a WhatsApp group, which has both serving and retired IAS as members, male as well females as members.
The said official, currently holding a sensitive post in the state government, posted his nude pics and some other objectionable material on this group Thursday night. Members were taken aback and angrily asked him to delete the offensive posts.
The chief minister’s office got wind of the gaffe on Friday, but has not yet taken any action in the matter.
According to a member, the officer concerned remained oblivious to the fact that he had posted distasteful content on the group. Only when someone informed him later in the night of his gaffe, that he deleted the posts. But by them almost every group member had seen the posts.
This group is meant for sharing information only. Nobody shares personal content on the group.
A few members of the group are currently holding key positions in Delhi. According to sources,” A retired chief secretary, some officials posted in Delhi and several IAS officers reprimanded the officer in question for posting the objectionable content.” (TOI)
