Gujarat: Reshuffle in states’ bureaucracy, Manish Bhardwaj relieved for central deputation

The Gujarat government has relieved senior IAS officer Manish Bhardwaj from the responsibilities he was handling in the state for his central deputation. Additionally, the state government has reassigned Mr. Bhardwaj's duties to C V Som. Furthermore, the government has issued transfer orders for two other IAS officers.

The Gujarat government has relieved senior IAS officer Manish Bhardwaj from the responsibilities he was handling in the state for his central deputation. Additionally, the state government has reassigned Mr. Bhardwaj’s duties to C V Som. Furthermore, the government has issued transfer orders for two other IAS officers.

Manish Bhardwaj (IAS:1997:GJ), who held the position of Principal Secretary in the Narmada (Narmada), Water Resources, Water Supply, and Kalpsar Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, has been transferred. His services have been made available to the Government of India for appointment as Deputy Director General (DDG) at the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), a body under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.

C V Som (IAS:1990:GJ), Additional Chief Secretary of the Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpsar Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, will take on the additional role of Principal Secretary in the same department.

Anupam Anand (IAS:2000:GJ), Commissioner of Labour in Gandhinagar, will hold the additional charge of CEO of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMAA) in Gandhinagar.

Praveen Chaudhary (IAS:2014:GJ), the Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Ahmedabad, has been transferred and appointed as the Collector in Anand. This move relieves RS Desai (GAS) of his additional responsibilities for the post.
