The Election Commission of India (ECI) has appointed Anupam Anand (IAS:2000:GJ) as the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Gujarat. He will replace S Murali Krishna (IAS:1998:GJ), who was serving as the Gujarat CEO for last three years.
Anand was currently posted as the Secretary, Tribal Development.
